Orange Santan

I purchased dwarf orange santans from Tagaytay and planted them on my driveway. They seem to grow faster than the red variety. I was told these are the “Maui” variety. I have no idea what that means. Anyway, they are beautiful and I intend to buy more.

On the foreground Podocarpus Macrophylla or Maki as commonly known. Nice hedge plant.

At last, after several months of waiting for the budget, I finally finished my driveway. 10 meters long x 4 meters wide. I will plant ornamentals on the sides. March 2010

Nursery

This is a small nursery built by my helper. Most of the materials used were taken from the area except for the green net and plastic roof. We made a mistake of placing this under a mango tree. When green mangoes started falling on the roof, the plastic cracked and holes are everywhere. We decided to replace the roof with nets. I was told, Sta Rita in Bulacan is the place to buy nets. – March 2009
